The company has been established for over 25 years and with over 200 qualified accountants nationwide they continue to enjoy robust growth along with a successful track record.

The Challenge

Like many accounting firms, AIMS Accountants and their network of franchised accounting firms offer competitive accounting compliance services to their clients. A range of support services are provided to franchisees, particularly around technology and technical accounting and taxation support.

Much of this is delivered via group presentations and webinars, and the directors were keen to ensure that the support team had the presentation skills and techniques to deliver support in a professional and effective manner.

The Approach

We ran a half day presentation skills training session involving the entire support team, taking a close look at the way the team presents their range of support services to new and existing franchisees.

We introduced a structured approach to preparing for presentations and identified a number of areas where improvements could be made that would succinctly communicate material that is often highly technical in nature, gaining and maintaining audience attention and interest, effective use of the voice, managing presentation anxiety, and the effective use of visual aids. and considered how to present technical content.

The Results

The support team is now able to introduce AIMS services more effectively, gain and maintain audience attention whilst discussing highly technical material, whilst improving their individual confidence.
